-Cahuilla ribshifts on every column , grows nubs  and vegestial growth, stacks , original stand has grown singular columns up to 24” circumference - regularly gets 4-5” diameter thick on new growth columns !! This one gets weird ! It holds a “checkerboard” glaucous pattern and it’s new spines are red. Under pressure or damage cahuilla will grow sharp strong red spines that keep their color in the shade & fade white in full sun. Under happy relaxed conditions cahuilla will barely grow any spines at all ! This cultivar can get incredibly notchy indoors under artificial lights!! Colors range depending on where it’s grown from green to blue and it has produced multiple variegated pieces !
