| - | AKA T. validus cv. Fabrante | + | Poots validus, aka T. validus cv. Fabrante, is an extremely fat, many ribbed variety of Trichocereus. Per areole, it typically has around 10 to 15 medium length spines and one central long spine, with new growth spine color of honey golden yellow with golden brown tips. The spines are particularly sharp and needle like, even among the spikier Trichocereus varieties, with Brian Poot noting they regularly puncture his Hexarmor Thornarmor gloves, unlike the other cacti at Poots. The flowers are white and rather small for Trichocereus. ย |
