====== Bigfoot ======

===== Description =====
The name "Bigfoot" refers to two distinct Trichocereus clones in circulation: a //Trichocereus bridgesii// and a //Trichocereus peruvianus//.

The //T. bridgesii// clone is known to exhibit slightly irregular growth, occasionally growing "weird" or semi-monstrose. There is some community speculation regarding its genetics, with some growers suggesting it may be a Cuzco-dominant bridgesii hybrid, though this remains unverified.

===== History & Origin =====
Both clones originated from the now-defunct Bigfoot Nursery. While other clones may have been released by the nursery, the bridgesii and peruvianus cultivars are the two primary clones that remain widely circulated in the collecting community.

===== Cultivation Notes =====
The "Bigfoot" bridgesii clone is reported to be exceptionally hardy and resilient. While many //T. bridgesii// cultivars struggle in humid or less-than-ideal climates, growers note that the Bigfoot bridgesii is highly adaptable, easy to care for, and grows vigorously where other bridgesii clones fail.

| 2025 (approx) | James Buchanan | 8 | "the now defunct Bigfoot nursery had a bridge and a peruvianus that are widely circulated. Maybe more clones but those are the 2 main ones" / "It's a really nice bridge that gets a bit weird sometimes. It was one of my first every bridges and has been a dream plant to care for. Most bridgesii struggle here. Love my Bigfoot bridge." |

===== Credibility Notes =====
James Buchanan was assigned a high confidence score due to his first-hand, long-term cultivation experience with the clone, his ability to identify its specific growth habits, and his historical knowledge regarding the defunct Bigfoot nursery.
