===== Description =====
"Callé del Sol" (frequently written as "Calle del sol") is an obscure cultivar within the //Trichocereus// genus. Due to its extreme rarity in cultivation and the lack of widespread photographic documentation, a formal botanical description of its rib count, spine morphology (such as length, color, and radial/central arrangement), areole density, and glaucous epidermis color is currently unavailable. It is assumed to share the typical columnar, arborescent growth habit of related pachanoid or peruvianoid phenotypes.

===== History & Origin =====
The origin of "Callé del Sol" is closely tied to Tanner Shackleford, who is understood to be the primary source or original distributor of the clone. According to community accounts, the clone first surfaced or was distributed around 2020 (approximately four years prior to the 2024 forum discussions). Despite its distinctive name, which translates from Spanish as "Street of the Sun," there is no verified documentation regarding whether this clone represents a wild import from South America or a domestic seedling selection.

===== Cultivation Notes =====
As no specific cultivation quirks have been reported for "Callé del Sol," growers should follow standard protocols for trichocereus cacti:
  * **Light:** Provide bright, indirect sunlight or partial direct sun. Acclimated specimens can tolerate full sun, though protection from intense afternoon heat may prevent sunburn.
  * **Substrate:** Use a highly porous, mineral-heavy soil mix (50-70% pumice, perlite, or coarse gravel) to ensure rapid drainage.
  * **Watering:** Implement a "soak and dry" regimen during the active spring and summer growing seasons. Suspend watering entirely during winter dormancy to prevent root rot.

===== Community Discussion & Citations =====
//Analysis of the discussion.//

The clone remains one of the most elusive in the modern //Trichocereus// collecting community. In a 2024 discussion, enthusiasts noted that searching for the clone online yields virtually no results, even when queried alongside Tanner Shackleford's name. This suggests that the clone has been kept in very few private collections and has not undergone widespread commercial propagation.

===== Credibility Notes =====
Trich Ocereus was assigned a confidence score of 7/10 for providing a definitive spelling correction and establishing a clear historical timeline (pointing to circa 2020) for the clone's emergence. Alexander Alan was assigned a confidence score of 7/10 for performing extensive archival searches and successfully identifying the primary provenance link to Tanner Shackleford, confirming the clone's highly restricted distribution.
