===== Description =====
The provided discussion does not contain specific botanical details regarding rib count, spine length/color, or epidermis color for the 'Capital Cactus' clone. Community discussion suggests there may be two or more distinct phenotypes circulating under this name, indicating potential variation within the lineage. Further botanical analysis is required to provide a comprehensive description.

===== History & Origin =====
The 'Capital Cactus' clone appears to originate from a private grower located in Canberra, Australia, which is Australia's capital city. According to Chris Reeb, the original stand was found in Canberra, and it is believed that there are two or more distinct phenotypes circulating under the 'Capital Cactus' name. Damian Ward corroborates the Canberra origin, stating that this private grower distributed various plants, including 'nice Peru' *Trichocereus pachanoi* clones, through email sales or a webstore around 2022 (approx). Damian Ward acquired five of these 'pachanoi' and states that the surviving one became the 'Capital Cactus' clone, which has since propagated widely. The name 'Capital Cactus' is strongly associated with a small online cactus store or website, 'Capital Cactus & Succulents,' based in the ACT (Australian Capital Territory), which was responsible for distributing these plants. This website was later taken down due to operational costs.

===== Credibility Notes =====
Damian Ward's confidence score of 8 is based on his direct personal experience as an original recipient of the clone from the Canberra grower, providing a firsthand account of its origin and subsequent widespread propagation. Chris Reeb (Confidence Score: 7) is rated highly as his statement corroborates the Canberra origin and provides additional detail about the possibility of multiple phenotypes, aligning with community understanding. Luke Pike (Confidence Score: 4) is rated lower due to his explicit use of speculative language ("From what I remember," "I am assuming," "Could be way off"). Grant Nicholson (Confidence Score: 6) is rated moderately as he confirms the existence of the online store/website through research on the "sab forum" and provides details about its shutdown, although he acknowledges some uncertainty regarding the completeness of his information.
