===== Description =====
'Glorp' is a distinctive monstrous cactus clone highly prized within the columnar cactus community. Characterized by its distorted, asymmetrical growth habit, the clone exhibits irregular ribbing, altered areole spacing, and unique epidermal textures ranging from glaucous blue-green to deep green. The mutation causes unpredictable growth patterns, often producing bulbous or melted stem formations alongside atypical spine development.

===== History & Origin =====
The clone was isolated by grower James Peterson. According to community discussion, Peterson successfully stabilized the cultivar by systematically cutting away standard, regular growth from a mutated specimen, forcing the plant to push new pups exclusively from the mutated tissue. Since its isolation, 'Glorp' has achieved significant popularity among collectors, becoming one of the most sought-after mutant clones in the community.

===== Cultivation Notes =====
'Glorp' demonstrates robust versatility when grafted. James Peterson reported no known rootstock incompatibilities, making it suitable for propagation on a wide variety of standard grafting stocks (such as *Trichocereus spachianus*, *Trichocereus pachanoi*, or *Myrtillocactus geometrizans*). For degrafted specimens or plants grown on their own roots, standard columnar cactus care is recommended: a well-draining mineral soil mix, bright light to maintain epicuticular wax and coloration, and careful watering during the active growing season.
