===== Description =====
A detailed botanical description of the "hillside peru" clone is currently limited. In community discussions, it is noted for having atypical morphology, described as a "strange looking example" if classified as a //Trichocereus huanucoensis//. It exhibits traits dominant to //Trichocereus peruvianus//.

===== History & Origin =====
The exact origin of "hillside peru" remains a subject of community debate. According to distributor Brian Penick, the clone is believed to be a //Trichocereus huanucoensis// ("huanu") that originally sourced from Bryan Harris.

Alternative theories regarding its name and origin exist within the community. Justin Vernal Devecka suggested the clone may have originated from a hillside in San Luis Obispo (SLO), California, displaying peruvianus-dominant traits. Another speculative theory suggests it was collected directly from a hillside in Peru.

===== Cultivation Notes =====
No specific cultivation requirements have been documented for this clone. Standard care for columnar //Trichocereus// species applies: utilize a gritty, well-draining soil mix (50% organic matter, 50% pumice or perlite), provide deep watering only when the soil is completely dry, and ensure ample direct sunlight or high-intensity grow lights to prevent etiolation.
