===== Description =====
*Trichocereus pachanoi* 'Huaraziño' is a robust, columnar cactus known for its prolific branching, often forming dense clumps with numerous arms. The epidermis is a distinctive glaucous green, frequently exhibiting a bluish tint. Stems typically feature 6 to 8 prominent, somewhat undulating ribs. Areoles are generally recessed, bearing short, acicular spines that range in color from brownish to yellowish, usually numbering 3-7 per areole. Mature plants produce large, white, nocturnal flowers characteristic of the *Trichocereus* genus, as clearly visible in recent photographic evidence.

===== History & Origin =====
The 'Huaraziño' clone originates from the city of Huaraz, Peru. It is a cultivated plant, initially propagated and distributed by "the chavin herbalists," as stated by Huan Shuma. Seeds of this genetic line were first made available through their 2017 seed catalogue, with fresh seeds subsequently offered in 2018. Huan Shuma later revealed on May 18, 2021, that the original mother plant was "removed and destroyed," but the lineage was preserved through collaborative community efforts, suggesting the distribution of clones.

Further illustrating the clonal distribution, Daniel Hackbarth acquired his 'Huaraziño' clones around March 2021 (approximately one year prior to his comment in March 2022) from a grower in Canada. This Canadian grower had reportedly been collecting clones from Peru for some time before that point, indicating a specific lineage path for this clone through international collectors. This raises a question within the community regarding whether current plants are direct clones or seed-grown descendants, with evidence supporting both forms of distribution.

===== Cultivation Notes =====
No specific cultivation notes were provided in the source material. General *Trichocereus pachanoi* cultivation guidelines should be followed, including well-draining soil, ample sunlight, and protection from extreme cold.
