===== Description =====
JN61 is a Trichocereus clone grown from seed. Specific botanical details such as rib count, spine length, and precise epidermis coloration are not formally documented in the community discussion, though specimens are highly regarded by growers for their aesthetic appeal. Cultivators note that specimens sourced from Jeremy Mercado are characterized by healthy, diverse growth and signature blue growth dots.

===== History & Origin =====
This clone originated from a seed batch collected in Peru by Josh. The designation "JN" refers to the collector (Josh), while "61" represents a specific seed batch number corresponding to a particular collection site. There is minor community speculation that the seed may have originally been distributed by Julio, though this remains unconfirmed. Jeremy Mercado is recognized within the community as a prominent and highly regarded source for these specimens.

===== Cultivation Notes =====
No specific cultivation requirements were detailed in the community discussion. Standard care for Peruvian Trichocereus species is recommended: utilize a highly gritty, well-draining soil mix, water deeply only when the substrate is completely dry, and provide ample airflow alongside bright, filtered sunlight to partial direct sun. The clone is reported to establish quickly and exhibit rapid, vigorous growth.
