===== Description =====
KT-Ogun is a highly glaucous, blue-skinned *Trichocereus peruvianus* clone. It exhibits a striking blue coloration when grown in full sun.

===== History & Origin =====
The clone was sourced directly from ethnobotanical researcher Keeper Trout (KT) and was subsequently named by community member Zelly (often associated with Misplant).

According to community accounts, the plant was originally collected by an American traveler staying with the family that harvests seeds and plants for Ikaros DNA in Matucana, Peru. While it is distinct from the "true" Ogunbodede (Ogun) clone—which was sourced from the Peruvian market supplier *Hierbas del Peru*—KT-Ogun shares a regional connection, having been sourced via the same ethnic group in Peru that supplies the Witches Market in Lima.

There is unresolved community speculation regarding whether KT-Ogun is related to "KT-Arizona," a blue *T. peruvianus* clone that Keeper Trout reportedly deposited at a nursery in Arizona.

===== Cultivation Notes =====
To bring out the signature intense blue glaucous coating of this *Trichocereus peruvianus* clone, it should be grown in full sun. Provide a highly gritty, well-draining soil mix and follow standard watering practices for Peruvian highland cacti, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings.

===== Community Discussion & Citations =====
//Analysis of the discussion.//
The community discussion clarifies the distinct origin of KT-Ogun compared to the true Ogunbodede clone. While both trace back to Peruvian market suppliers and related ethnic collector groups in Peru, KT-Ogun was brought back by an American traveler staying with the Matucana-based family associated with Ikaros DNA, distributed via Keeper Trout, and named by Zelly.
