===== Description =====
Ogunbodede (commonly referred to as "Ogun") is a highly sought-after clone of //Trichocereus pachanoi//. It typically exhibits a light to dark green, slightly glaucous epidermis. The stems are characterized by rounded ribs, typically numbering between 6 and 8, with relatively small, felted areoles. Spines are generally very short, light yellow to brown when young, and may weather to grey or become almost spineless in mature growth phases.

===== History & Origin =====
The clone is named after Professor T. O. Ogunbodede, who was involved in ethnobotanical research. The original specimen is believed to have been sourced from Peru (specifically associated with Matucana). It is highly celebrated in the community for its historical significance and chemical profile. It is important to distinguish this clone from "KT-Ogun", which is a distinct collection.

===== Cultivation Notes =====
While specific cultivation notes were not detailed in the provided discussion, standard //Trichocereus pachanoi// care applies. This clone thrives in a gritty, well-draining soil mix and benefits from regular watering and fertilization during the active spring and summer growing seasons. It prefers bright, filtered light to full sun once acclimated, and should be kept dry and cool during winter dormancy to prevent etiolation.

===== Credibility Notes =====
Jon Hartman was assigned a confidence score of 7/10 for providing a clear, concise taxonomic distinction that aligns with the established consensus in the broader Trichocereus community (that the classic Ogunbodede is a //T. pachanoi//, whereas the KT-Ogun clone displays //T. peruvianus// characteristics). Chris Cosby is a highly regarded community member (7.5/10), though his contribution to this specific thread was limited to a polite acknowledgment. Other participants in the discussion did not provide detailed botanical information or meet the threshold for inclusion.
