====== piag ======

===== Description =====
"Piag" (often referred to or clarified as "Giag") is described as a beautiful *Trichocereus scopulicola*. As a typical representative of the species, it exhibits characteristic scopulicola features, including a largely spineless or minimally spined green epidermis with well-defined ribs and small areoles.

===== History & Origin =====
The clone originates from Cactus Culture Berlin, associated with Helmut Matk. According to community records, grower Andreas Michael acquired the plant as a seedling in 2015. There is some association with Pedro Park, where it has been used in breeding, notably in the cross ''scopulicola'' "Giag" x "Vical1". There is minor naming confusion in the community regarding the spelling ("Piag" vs. "Giag").

===== Cultivation Notes =====
No clone-specific cultivation requirements were detailed in the discussion. Standard *Trichocereus scopulicola* care applies: grow in a highly gritty, well-draining soil mix, provide deep but infrequent watering during the active growing season, and place in a position with bright, filtered light to full sun. Protect from hard frosts.

===== Credibility Notes =====
John Ryan provided high-quality, specific historical provenance by directly citing grower Andreas Michael, the original nursery (Cactus Culture Berlin), the breeder (Helmut Matk), and a specific year (2015). Matt Olson provided valuable context regarding its distribution and use in hybrid crosses (specifically with "Vical1") via Pedro Park.
