====== Terminator TPM ======

===== Description =====
"Terminator TPM" (Trichocereus pachanoi monstrose) is a monstrose cultivar characterized by its tendency to terminate its apical meristem (growth tip). Instead of continuous vertical growth, the active tip ceases growth, forcing the plant to push new offsets (pups) from the upper areoles. This growth pattern often results in a segmented, "stacking" habit. The epidermis, rib count, and spination generally align with standard TPM variations, though the growth form is highly irregular due to the termination habit.

===== History & Origin =====
The exact origin and breeder of the "Terminator TPM" clone remain undocumented. According to community discussion, the name "Terminator" is often used descriptively within the Trichocereus community to refer to any TPM lineage or isolated form that consistently exhibits this tip-terminating and stacking behavior, rather than representing a single, distinct genetic clone from a unique seed sowing. Specimens under this name have been circulated on online trading platforms such as Reddit.

===== Cultivation Notes =====
Cultivation of Terminator TPM aligns with general *Trichocereus pachanoi* requirements, preferring well-draining soil, regular watering during the growing season, and adequate sunlight. Due to its habit of terminating growth tips, growers should expect a highly branched or stacked specimen rather than a tall, single column. New pups will emerge periodically from the terminated segments.

===== Community Discussion & Citations =====
//The community discussion suggests that "Terminator" may function more as a descriptive term for a specific growth mutation within TPM lines rather than a registered, singular clone.//

===== Credibility Notes =====
James Hathaway was assigned a confidence score of 7/10 for providing a clear, logical explanation of community naming conventions and the botanical growth habit associated with the "Terminator" moniker, which aligns with observed growth patterns in monstrose Trichocereus cultivars.
