{{clones:t:media:texas_street:5f08c4fa8851418a.jpg?400}}

===== Description =====
"Texas Street" is a clone within the *Trichocereus* genus (likely *T. bridgesii* or a closely related hybrid). Morphologically, it strongly resembles the well-known clone "Lumberjack," featuring a similar rib structure, spination, and epidermis color, making the two easily confused upon superficial inspection. It is suspected to possess a highly woody and tough vascular core, a trait typical of certain robust *T. bridgesii* cultivars.

===== History & Origin =====
The precise origin, discoverer, and pedigree of "Texas Street" remain undocumented. There is minor community confusion or potential overlap with another clone known as "SDSB" (San Diego Street Bridge), though whether these two are synonymous, sister seedlings, or entirely distinct clones is currently unverified.

===== Cultivation Notes =====
No specific cultivation requirements have been detailed for "Texas Street." It should be grown under standard conditions for arborescent *Trichocereus* species:
  * **Substrate:** Highly porous, inorganic-rich soil mix (50% pumice or perlite) to prevent root rot.
  * **Watering:** Thorough watering during the active growing season, allowing the medium to dry out completely between waterings. Keep entirely dry during winter dormancy.
  * **Exposure:** Full sun to light dappled shade.
  * **Propagation:** Due to reports of a potentially extra-woody core, taking cuttings or propagating via grafting may require a sharp, heavy-duty blade to cleanly slice through the tough vascular ring.

===== Community Discussion & Citations =====
//Analysis of the discussion.//

The community discussion primarily focuses on identifying the physical characteristics of "Texas Street" by comparing it to established clones. Greg Aeed points out its striking visual similarity to "Lumberjack." Crystal Dimension raises a question regarding the physical density of its core, comparing it to a similar-looking specimen sold on eBay as "SDSB" (San Diego Street Bridge) which exhibited an exceptionally woody and difficult-to-cut interior.

===== Credibility Notes =====
Greg Aeed was assigned a confidence scoredue to providing a direct, uncontradicted morphological comparison to "Lumberjack," a highly recognizable reference clone in the community. Crystal Dimension was assigned a lower score as their contribution was primarily inquisitive and based on an unverified eBay purchase, which does not constitute a definitive reference.
