====== Trichocereus Blue Cube ======

===== Description =====
There is no direct botanical description of "Trichocereus Blue Cube" provided in the source discussion. However, based on its classification as an IcarosDNA selection (typically *Trichocereus peruvianus*), it is expected to exhibit a highly glaucous, blue epidermis. The name "Blue Cube" strongly suggests a phenotype characterized by prominent, blocky ribs and a distinctly blue hue. Typical specimens of this lineage feature felted areoles with moderate to strong spination, though specific spine colors, lengths, and rib counts for this clone remain undocumented.

===== History & Origin =====
"Trichocereus Blue Cube" is an IcarosDNA selection, grown from seed sourced from Peru (IcarosDNA). It is recognized as a seed-grown Peruvian hybrid. The specific grower who selected and named this clone from the seed batch is not identified in the provided discussion.

===== Cultivation Notes =====
No specific cultivation advice was detailed in the community discussion. General cultivation guidelines for *Trichocereus peruvianus* and related Andean species should be followed:
* **Light:** Bright, direct sunlight is preferred. High light intensity encourages the development of the protective glaucous wax coating that gives the cactus its blue coloration.
* **Watering:** Implement a soak-and-dry method during the spring and summer growing seasons. Keep the soil completely dry during the winter dormant period.
* **Soil:** Use a gritty, well-draining mineral mix (at least 50-60% pumice, perlite, or gravel) to prevent root rot.

===== Community Discussion & Citations =====
The community discussion is brief, focusing primarily on clarifying the genetic background of the clone. The consensus points to the plant being a selection from Peruvian IcarosDNA seed.

===== Credibility Notes =====
Tom Roney was rated highly (8/10) because his statement was direct, definitive, and aligned with the genetic origin details provided by other commenters. Josh Ohso Barrett was rated lower (6/10) and excluded from the citations because he explicitly stated, "I don't know much else," reducing the overall authority of his comment despite providing consistent information regarding the Icaros seed origin.
