===== Description =====
Trichocereus bridgesii 'Con' is a recognized cultivar of the species *Trichocereus bridgesii* (syn. *Echinopsis lageniformis*). While specific morphological details such as exact rib count, spine length, and epidermis color are not detailed in the immediate community discussion, it is recognized as a unique and highly sought-after *bridgesii* phenotype. Typical of the species, it is expected to exhibit the classic bluish-green (glaucous) to light green epidermis, prominent ribs, and honey-colored to brown spines characteristic of Bolivian torch cacti.

===== History & Origin =====
The 'Con' clone is a well-known Australian cultivar. It was sourced by Shaman Australis Botanicals (SAB), a prominent Australian ethnobotanical nursery and community. According to community accounts, the plant was likely grown from seed by a local grower, purchased by SAB, and subsequently named 'Con' by Torsten, the founder and owner of SAB. It has since become a staple clone in Australian and international Trichocereus collections. Community members also suggest contacting the Instagram user @aussiefatplants for potential further details regarding this clone.

===== Cultivation Notes =====
No specific cultivation notes for the 'Con' clone were detailed in the discussion. Standard *Trichocereus* cultivation practices apply: grow in a highly gritty, well-draining soil mix (typically 50-70% inorganic material like pumice or perlite). Water deeply during the active growing season (spring through autumn), allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Provide bright, filtered light or full sun, though acclimation is necessary to prevent sunburn. Protect from prolonged frost and excessive winter moisture, as *T. bridgesii* can be sensitive to humidity-related black spots.

===== Community Discussion & Citations =====
//Analysis of the discussion.//
The community discussion confirms the status of 'Con' as a staple Australian clone associated with Shaman Australis Botanicals (SAB). Janet Paulin provides the primary historical context, attributing its naming to Torsten of SAB. Peter Nehen points to @aussiefatplants on Instagram as a potential source for more information on the clone. Other parts of the discussion drift into unrelated topics, such as the 'Skinny' clone (associated with TST/SAB forums) and the 'TNT' clone (clarified to be distinct from 'Torres & Torres').

===== Credibility Notes =====
Janet Paulin was assigned a high confidence score due to providing specific, historically consistent details regarding the clone's origin, including its connection to Shaman Australis Botanicals (SAB), its propagation from seed by a local grower, and its naming by SAB founder Torsten. This aligns with documented history of Australian Trichocereus clones. Other participants provided lower-confidence referrals or discussed unrelated clones, such as TNT or Skinny.
