===== Description =====
"William Baker" is a Trichocereus clone highly regarded for its robust, sturdy growth habit. It is widely identified within the community as a Trichocereus huanucoensis phenotype, characterized by its thick stems and strong constitution.

===== History & Origin =====
This clone traces back to the late botanist and nurseryman Bill (William) Baker (1959–2009), who operated a nursery in Reseda, California. The plant was originally collected for William Baker by Julio Cruz in Murillo, Bolivia (recorded in collection notes as "Murrillo, Jayuri province, Bolivia"). It shares its origin pedigree with other notable "Baker" clones, including the bridgesii clone BAKER5452.

===== Cultivation Notes =====
This clone is noted for being exceptionally hardy and vigorous. Cultivators report that it is a sturdy grower capable of active growth through colder winter months. It exhibits strong pupping behavior, occasionally pushing new pups even before cuttings have fully established root systems.
